Web Designer & Developer – E-commerce Platform (Freelance Contract | UK or US)

Our website is more than a store. It is the digital space where customers discover our world, connect with the brand, and experience our fragrances before purchasing. The goal of this project is to continue developing that platform into a refined, immersive, and editorial online experience.

We are looking for a Web Designer and Web Developer with strong e-commerce experience to work on the development and evolution of our online platform aaronterencehughes.co.uk and aaronterencehughes.com

This is a freelance contract opportunity for an experienced developer who understands both the technical and visual aspects of modern e-commerce platforms.

 

About the Role

You will work closely with our creative and marketing team to develop and enhance the experience of our digital platform. While our team provides graphic assets and creative direction, the ideal candidate must have a strong editorial and luxury-oriented design sensibility and be comfortable translating creative concepts into a refined digital environment.

This role requires someone who understands that an e-commerce platform is not only functional, but also a key expression of the brand itself.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the structure and experience of our e-commerce platform

• Improve navigation and overall customer journey

• Develop and refine homepage and collection page layouts

• Improve product pages to create a premium and immersive discovery experience

• Implement a product recommendation feature

• Ensure responsive layouts across desktop and mobile devices

Requirements

• Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom or United States of America 

• Proven experience developing modern e-commerce websites

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Experience implementing UX/UI principles

• Strong visual sensibility and attention to detail

• Ability to translate creative direction into elegant web layouts

• Experience working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms

 

Preferred

• Interest in editorial design and brand storytelling in digital environments

• Interest in working with Perfume brands
